J. Kimber Rotchford 1
I am a 1980 graduate of the University of Washington's School of Medicine. I am a long time specialist in non-procedural based pain management and long term member of the American Academy of Integrative Pain Management. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture as well as a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine. I have several publications regarding the use of opioids in chronic pain management. I have authorized medical cannabis in Washington State for over 15 years. I am one of the first physicians to be a Diplomat of the Board of Addiction Medicine and am board eligible in Addiction Medicine through the ABPM. I am also past president of Washington Chapter of ASAM. I have experienced significant regulatory consequences as a result of efforts to provide the best of care to those with opioid use disorders, particularly those with comorbid chronic pain and other mental disorders. I consider myself fortunate to have a DEA registration and a license to practice.
